My Jeep and Yours

Welcome to My Jeep Home Page

This Web site is under construction, so please, keep coming back. In this site, you'll find pics of my Jeep, my friends Jeeps, and one day, your Jeep in my Readers Rides section.

I'll also have trip notes and tech articles.

Look up for links to the other pages on this site. I have a growing collection of your Jeeps in my "Readers Rides" section. Check out the Jeep and non-Jeep related links on my "Links" page. I am planning a HUGE project, so check out my project page, I'll be starting the project soon. If you look at my "Product Review" page, you'll see a product review. Send me a write-up, and maybe I'll post it.
I also will have a page dedicated to the trails I visit. Currently it's "Wixom" in Wixom MI.

My current Jeep (on going project)

My current baby is my latest aquisition. It's a 1986 CJ-7. It has the emissioned-to-death 258, T-176 4 speed, Dana 300 t-case, Dana 44 rear, 30 front. 4" superlift. Currie greasable shackles all around, so I guess that's 2 more inches. Front shackle reversal. Both axles have 4.11 gears and Detroit Lockers. Steering gear box brace, JKS sway-bar disconnects, Recarro seats.

This baby performs amazingly off-road! Here in southeasy Michigan, the terrain is usually hilly, and most times muddy. You don't need a lot of lift, but 4" is good, mud tires are another good thing. Lockers aren't a necessity, but sure do help. I'll keep the pics coming, and I want to see yours to.

Product Review

Each month or so, I'll be reviewing a product. It may be something I just installed, or something I already have on the Jeep. Could be a tool, part, or even the latest toilet paper with "wings".

I'm always looking for submissions.

A little about me
I've been a Jeeper since about 1991. My first Jeep was a 1989 YJ, 4 banger and weenie tires. I had a ball! I was part of the Huron Valley 4 Wheelers club. I learned a lot and highly reccomend that any Jeeper, especially a new Jeeper join a club. You learn a lot while not getting yourself in too much trouble.

I'm in my 30's, and live a few miles outside of Detroit. There's not a lot of wheelin in the immediate area, but what's around is great.

I currently am a certified mechanic, but don't work as a tech anymore. I teach at a technical high school. It's a great job, and I have a lot of fun.

Please sign my guestbook.
